From the 1st flimsiest feeling that something is different the whole way through to the birth of a gorgeous child, pregnancy is a time of change. Each trimester is unique and has its own sets of marvels and delights as well as challenges and sorenesses. Being educated and well aware what to anticipate make this particular time in any mother’s life easier to enjoy and cope with.

The 1st trimester is the first three calendar month* of the pregnancy. The amusing part about this trimester is that a lot of adult female* spend the 1st few calendar week* unaware that she is expecting a new bundle of joy. Occasionally, a woman may be clued in by feelings of sickness, clothes fitting differently, and breast soreness even before the 1st missed period. Once the new mom is mindful of the growing life, several symptoms are common in the 1st trimester. Unusual food and drink cravings are common, as are vivid dreams that may last the full pregnancy. For those who undergo morning sickness, it is a comfort to acknowledge that it usually fades in the 2nd trimester. A new mom-to-be could find relief from morning sickness by drinking ginger tea, absorbing on peppermint, or applying the tried and true formula of lemon lime soda and saltine crackers.

For many women, the 2nd trimester is the easiest to cope with. Generally the morning sickness and breast tenderness of the 1st trimester has faded and a lot experience a sense of health and well being. During this time, the child continues to fine tune organ and brain development. A lot of expectant moms reference this trimester as being the time when they experienced more energy and find it easier to take part in their favorite activities. This is often the best time during pregnancy to set up the baby’s room and take care of any tasks that involve a moderate level of activity before the rigors of the last trimester.

The 3rd trimester of pregnancy is challenging in many ways. A lot of women are torn between feeling like their child is never going to make it and feeling like the baby is expected tomorrow. Exhilaration becomes more intense in this stage of pregnancy. Cleaning everything in sight and nesting is often a big role of the 3rd trimester. Mom-to-be will experience a need for more sleep and a few of the common aches and pains of her new shape will affect everything from breathing to how often mom needs the bathroom. It is commonly believed to be the most physically challenging stage, but endurable because of the excitement and joy the upcoming birth brings.

Pregnancy is a normal, awe cheering time for a new mother. Every day is an adventure in discovering more about herself and the small person she is carrying.
